Races are an activity in Sleeping Dogs.
There are 15 races, both car and bike, for Wei Shen to complete; they are classed into Class A, Class B, and Class C races. The Street Racer Pack DLC unlocks additional races, including a boat race. Races also take place in the story and police missions.
Going out with Sandra will unlock races in Victoria's Peak.
You can only complete races by winning the race.
Completing all the races will award the player with the 'Wei of the Road' achievement/trophy. In addition, aside from being awarded a good amount of money, completing them is an excellent way to raise Face XP.

Vehicle Classes[]
The usable vehicles for racing will be classified as Class C, Class B, or Class A, and the classifications will reflect off several factors, such as top speed, acceleration, and handling. The classification categories will be separate for cars and bikes; for example, a Class A bike cannot be used for a Class A car race, and vice-versa. In addition, stolen vehicles cannot be used; they must either be purchased from a Car Dealership or given as a reward for meeting certain criteria. You can use DLC vehicles, provided that their corresponding DLC's are installed, and that their unlock requirements are met. Police versions of some vehicles can be used with certain DLC's. It is not, however, possible to change the vehicle's color; the color displayed on the vehicle selection screen is the color that must be used for that vehicle; for example, if a vehicle's default color is blue, then it cannot be changed to white, black, or red.

Trivia[]
- The Bismarck and Ridge Sport are both Class D cars due to their size and heavy weight. No known races for Class D cars exist, possibly due to said weight of both vehicles. However, purchasing them is required for the Achievement/Trophy Auto Enthusiast. The Airbrushed Dragon Armored Van is another available Class D car, if the DLC Retro Triad Pack is installed.
- In the Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, the three DLC races must also be completed to unlock Wei of the Road, along with all other races.
